Where it All Began

Pawsitivity isn't just a business; it's a passionate endeavor that grew from a lifelong love for dogs spanning over 35 years. Our founder, Kristin Leest, has not only been a dog trainer for over 14 years but she has also dedicated herself to breeding American Kennel Club standard poodles for more than six years. Her deep-rooted love for animals, instilled by her grandmother's commitment to running an animal rescue for three decades, led her on this remarkable journey. Pawsitivity was born from the need for better products for her own furry companions, including her seven beloved standard poodles. These furry friends have become part of her family, each with their own special place in her heart, which is why ensuring their well-being has always been a top priority.
One of the most challenging moments for any dog owner is watching their beloved canine companion transition from being lively and agile to struggling with joint stiffness and the inevitable signs of aging. Kristin, the owner of Pawsitivity, faced this heart-wrenching experience when her once-vibrant dog suddenly began limping and showing signs of joint stiffness and aging. It was a moment of great concern, and she took immediate action by seeking a solution to help her beloved companion. Through her research, she discovered the significant benefits of joint supplements for dogs, such as those containing glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. These supplements have been proven to prevent arthritis and provide support to dogs dealing with hip dysplasia and other hip and joint-related pain issues.
However, Kristin's furry friend was a special case, and she was determined to provide the best care limiting any additives, fillers, colors or dyes that could potentially trigger her dog's epilepsy. She wanted to offer a product with transparent labeling, containing only ingredients she could pronounce. The overwhelming options on the market prompted her to look deeper, research and create something better for her pet.
